He or She? I already knew what it would be. Never underestimate a pregnant woman’s dreams, they’re way too vivid to be wrong. I had multiple dreams around 8 weeks of giving birth to a boy or having a son. I thought it was a sign but my mom, Jerel, and Isaiah all said they think it will be a girl! We decided to do a blood test for the gender at 12 weeks, and had an ultrasound to double check at 15 weeks. Both results were given to my best friend, Ashtyn, to keep our secret and prepare for the reveal. September 6th was our Gender Reveal party hosted in the backyard of my dad’s house complete with basketball themed voting, food bar, and signs. My personal favorite sign was a banner on the fence reading “Here for the Sex”. All of Isaiah’s close friends and family were there along with my friends and family. We had an awesome turnout despite COVID-19 and having to socially distance everyone and tables. While all the guests played a game, Ashtyn filled the balloon with powder for us to pop. The balloon was supposed to pop when it was dunked on with a basketball, but it was set up wrong and caused an epic failure. While waiting for a new nail to try again, Isaiah attempted to take off the tape stuck to the balloon, resulting in the explosion of BLUE. We are so thrilled to have a little boy coming into our lives! Little man is already so loved.
